| The Pinching Bug is just over 1 inch in length. The elongated jaws are found only in males, and provide more bark than bite. The pinch of the Pinching Bug produces little leverage, especially when applied to one's finger. These beetles fly throughout the night, hiding in woody debris during the day. Also known as the Reddish-brown Stag Beetle. |
