| Description: The
Western Lesser Siren ranges in size from 7.0-19.0 inches. Coloration is
olive to gray with black speckles above, dark below with light spots.
Habitat: Found in ditches, ponds or other shallow water.. Behavior: These salamanders spend most of their time underneath leaves and other debris. They have been known to utter yelping distress calls when endangered. |
