| Description: The
Spotted Salamander ranges in size from 4.5-7.5 inches. Coloration is
black to grayish with yellow spots arranged in an irregular row down each
side of the back. Belly is gray.
Habitat: Found in moist wooded or open areas. Behavior: Breeds in woodland ponds in early spring. |
