| The Snail Eating Ground Beetle is 3/4 inch long. This beetle primarily feeds on slugs and snails. The narrow head and mandibles allow it to reach inside a snail's shell. It is usually found in moist or wet woods. Also known as the Boat-backed Ground Beetle. |
