Pink-striped Oakworm Moth

The Pink-Striped Oakworm Moth is just over an inch in length. The caterpillar of this moth feeds solely on oak trees. The females, such as the one in the photo above, come readily to lights at night. The males often fly during the day in search of females for mating.
