| Description: The
Spring Peeper ranges in size from 0.5-1.5 inches. Coloration is
brown to gray to slightly greenish. Mottling on the back includes
the shape of an "X".
Habitat: Woodland habitats that include shallow water such as temporary pools or wetlands. Behavior: The voice of the Spring Peeper is a high peeping sound, often repeated. This is one of the first frogs to sing during springtime in Kentucky. |
