| Description: The
Eastern Narrowmouth Toad is approximately one inch in length. Coloration
varies from tan, brown, gray and black. The belly is mottled.
Body shape is oval, with a wrinkle or fold of the skin at the back of the
head.
Habitat: A wide variety of habitats but usually near water. Behavior: The voice of the Narrowmouth Toad is likened to the bleat of a sheep or lamb These frogs are primarily nocturnal, and often wait for heavy rains to begin breeding during the summer months. |
