| The Ivory-marked Beetle reaches one inch in length. These beetles are tree borers, burrowing into a variety of tree species. Their eggs are laid in the fissures of tree bark. Upon hatching, the larvae tunnel into the heartwood of the tree. This behavior makes the Ivory-marked Beetle a significant factor in the timber industry. |
