| The Honey Bee is found throughout North America and the rest of the world. Thought to originate in Africa, this very beneficial insect has been transported all around the world. Besides producing honey and beeswax, honey bees are very efficient pollinators. Most honey bees in the US nest in man-made boxes or hollow trees. If their nest is disturbed, the bees will form a swarm, and may nest on the side of a tree or other object if a more suitable site is not found. |
