| Description:
The Ground Skink ranges in size from 3-5.5 inches. Coloration is
brown with a dark stripe running along each side of the body. The
area on the back between the stripes is a lustrous brown. Belly is
usually whitish.
Habitat: Found under leaf litter or decaying wood in woodlands or open areas. Behavior: The Ground Skink has a clear patch in its lower eyelid, allowing it to see when the eyes are closed. |
