| Description: Fowler's Toads
are 2-3 inches long. Coloration ranges from brown to tan to gray,
with various mottling in between. Fowler's Toads have 3 or more
warts in the dark spots on the back, an unspotted chest, no large warts
on the tibia, and the parotid gland lays against the ridge located
behind the eye.
Habitat: Adults can be
found in a wide range of habitat including forests and open meadows.
Behavior: Fowler's Toads
and American Toads often hybridize,
making identification difficult at times. |
